When our owners tasked us with finding a new piece of equipment for innovative flexible packaging capabilities, the Fusion C press from BW Converting caught our attention with its compact nature and efficient footprint, fitting seamlessly into our plant while meeting all our manufacturing needs.

BW Converting proved to be an exceptional partner throughout the process. They kept us updated with regular pictures, meetings, and conference calls, ensuring that our needs were met and any questions were promptly addressed. Since installing the Fusion C press, our company has ventured into new markets, reinvigorating our sales force with a whole new line of products. 

Our experience with the first Fusion C press led us to expand our capabilities further. We installed a second BW Converting press, the 59-inch Fusion, which features a Gravier outboard station for applying cold seal and heat seal adhesives or barrier coatings. This addition has opened up even more market opportunities, particularly in the realm of sustainability. The 59-inch press allows us to transition customers from film overwraps to paper overwraps, positioning us at the forefront of sustainable technology.

Our experience with BW Converting has been nothing short of exceptional. We have also installed a BW press in our Dominican Republic facility, where it has performed beautifully, receiving great support.

Atlantic has installed a LithoFlash Inline Scanner on its KBA 162 large format printing press. In the video above, Casey Ellison and Allison Scales give an inside look at Atlantic’s Printing & Graphics location in Tabor City, North Carolina, and discuss how the new scanner technology improves color consistency and reduces waste. The LithoFlash Inline Scanner allows for quicker baseline color and color leveling obtainment. It also enables clear analysis and reporting on every printing run. Much like how Atlantic’s MUST Monitoring System tracks stretch film usage to increase efficiency and reduce waste, this scanner optimizes our printing operation in the same way!

Atlantic Printing & Graphics is an industry leader in premium printed labels, cartons, shrink sleeves, and inserts. The business offers offset, flexo, and digital technology that allow the production of virtually any size run, from 200 to 200 million. These extended capabilities of printing on various substrates, from paper to board to film, offer color consistency throughout entire retail package lines.

The high definition computer-to-plate system Atlantic utilizes allows for the highest quality printing plates for ultimate detail and highlights offering three-dimensional, 360-degree rotating shrink sleeve proofing that shows final graphics as they will appear after application. Atlantic routinely works with its vendors to test the latest releases of software, materials, and inks to stay ahead of the pack and offer its customers the best possible printed packages.

Atlantic Printing & Graphics has a legacy of meeting our customers needs and growing right alongside them.  As our customers’ product lines gain in popularity, we’ve been able to expand our capacity to stay right in step with them.

Our latest example of this commitment is the installation of new KBA Wide Format Printer and Bobst Die Cutter.  We’ve always operated on a traditional printing press format – 28 x 40 – but we saw an opportunity this past year to branch out and enter new markets.  With the KBA 6 color printer, we can print 47.25 x 63.50.  This is significantly larger and gives us a whole new capacity and output.

We installed the Bobst Die Cutter to support the materials we’re creating on the KBA printer.  These pieces of equipment together are incredible and put Atlantic Printing & Graphics in a whole new playing field.  We are set up to service and support our current and new large customers with their needs for printing, folding cartons, and much more.

We’re also excited to have the capacity to produce Fishbone Sustainable Beverage Carriers on the wide format KBA Printer and Bobst Die Cutter.  We’re ready for the movement towards recyclable, more sustainable beverage packaging!
